What is the Audi Advanced Key?
Audi is a firm believer in comfort and convenience. This is why all the new models in our showroom have keyless entry and starting. This technology allows you access to your car and begin driving, while keeping your key fob in pocket or your purse.
This system is controlled by proximity sensors that are located in the trunks, doors and key fobs. Here are some things you should know regarding Audi Advanced Key.
1. Proximity Detection
An Audi with proximity detection allows you to start and enter your car without ever having to take the key out of your purse or pocket. The access and authorization system works by automating data exchange between your convenience key and your car that allows you to unlock the trunk and doors and even start the engine with just a press on your key.
A sound-based proximity sensor also referred to a capacitive proximity sensor, employs acoustic waves in order to detect the presence of objects near. The sensors produce an oscillator-generated signal. The signal is transmitted into the air by an audio microphone, which converts it to an audio file. The audio files are then compared to determine their similarity and proximity. When they are within a certain distance, the system will send a wake-up message to the key. It will also send an ID signal to the vehicle.
The first step towards a more convenient driving environment is proximity detection. The Audi advanced key also has remote start capabilities that lets you initiate your vehicle's engine beyond the range of your key FOB. This is useful for loading groceries in the boot, or securing your children in their seats or packing for a trip with the family.
Audi pre sense basic, in addition it is a safety function that assists you in avoiding accidents by taking preventive action before collisions occur. It uses data from several other systems, including the front camera, radar sensors and Audi side assist to determine the likelihood of collisions and warn drivers. It also allows automatic braking when speeds are up to 250 km/h (155.3) and notify the driver via a message in the virtual cockpit and head-up display.

2. Authentication
The Audi advanced key system communicates directly with the car's sensors whenever you hit the lock button on your key fob. The system sends a confirmation code to the computer in the car, which confirms that it's a valid key fob. This security measure prevents unauthorized entry to the vehicle without the proper key fob.
It also lets drivers start their vehicles using the key fob that is in their purse or pocket. Audi's advanced key system makes use of proximity sensor in the trunk lid and doors, as well as the key fob. The sensors open the doors when the key fob is in close proximity to the vehicle (about five feet). Then, when you pull the door handle or open the trunk the vehicle detects your key and starts the engine.
You can also use the key fob to activate the push-button function of your vehicle. If the key fob is inside of your pocket or purse you can press the Start/Stop button integrated in the center console to start the engine. The car's sensors will verify the authenticity of the key fob and then start the engine after they've confirmed it.
The Audi advanced key system also includes a keyless entry feature that lets you open your vehicle's doors by simply pressing the handle on the outside of the door. This makes it incredibly useful when your hands are full or wearing gloves, for instance when you're bringing groceries or children into the vehicle. The system also includes the trunk release button that lets you open the trunk using an aplomb, which is a useful feature if you have a lot of things on your hands.

3. Keyless Entry
Keyless entry systems can be a great convenience when you are carrying your kids, groceries or other equipment. You can open your car by touching a button or sensor mounted on the door handle (some models come with the technology built into the lock). The key fob will also activate the sensors in the vehicle if you are carrying it. This lets it know that you are in the vicinity and that your hand is pressed at the touch of a button. This will help prevent unauthorized use of the vehicle, by ensuring only you can unlock the doors.
Another feature that is typically included in keyless entry systems is the ability to remotely start your car without a key. Sensors in the tailgate or trunk, and sometimes in the doors of the vehicle are used to accomplish this. The sensors will open the doors and turn on the engine of the vehicle when the fob is within 5 feet. You can then push a button to start your car. This is a great method to get your car warm and toasty before you leave for work in the morning, or when it's cold outside.
Some of the more sophisticated versions of keyless entry do not require the use of a key fob. These vehicles can be opened and unlocked using a smartphone application. This is a great solution for business owners or families who want their employees to have easy access to company vehicles. Some keyless entry systems will even remember the driver's preferred seat position or cabin temperature. This can save you lots of time when you pull up to a parking area.
One of the most advanced keyless entry systems comes with an opening at the rear that is activated by just a simple touch of your foot. It will shut and secure the cargo area automatically. This technology is available in a wide range of Audi models and may be included as an option in the standard model, or as an upgrade, depending on the model. These systems aren't 100% secure, and they can be tampered with by thieves with some technical knowledge.
4. Push-Button Start
Audi is, unlike other car brands that provide remote starting at the factory, does not do so. However, the brand offers a different option with the same features to remote start, namely the Audi Advanced Key.
Although it isn't a complete remote start system, this is a great alternative for those who require an easy method to start their car without the need for key insertion. With this feature, you are able to unlock your Audi A4's doors or start the engine by pressing the button. This button is located where you usually will find the ignition on the normal vehicle.
To activate this feature, you need to have your key fob in your pocket and be close enough to your car. Sensors in the door handles and trunk will activate once you and your key fob are within five feet of the vehicle. If you have the right code and a clear signal, the car will allow you to lock or start the car.
With the push of a button, you can quickly connect your Audi A4 and begin driving without the need to fumble through your purse or pockets for the keys. This feature is ideal for people who spend a lot of time in parking lots, and it can be an asset if you need to quickly warm up your car to commute or run errands.
When you're in your car the system will continue to communicate with the keyfob. This is done with encrypted signals to prevent hackers from getting into your car. It also comes with an Keyless Go card as a backup, which is credit-card sized and can be used to unlock the vehicle in the event that your key fob is lost or malfunctioning.
